Why I chose to go freelance as a digital marketing expert
After years of working in both agency and in-house roles, I realised I was ready for a new chapter — one where I could bring all that experience together and work more directly with clients on the things that matter most.
Going freelance wasn’t about leaving something behind, but about building something of my own. I’d seen first-hand how powerful digital marketing can be when it's strategic, creative, and connected to real business goals — and I wanted the freedom to focus on exactly that.
Freelancing gives me the chance to be hands-on with every project, tailoring strategies that truly fit each client. I get to collaborate closely, move quickly, and adapt as needed — without the layers of process that sometimes come with larger teams.
It also allows me to keep learning. One day I might be deep in SEO and analytics, the next focused on brand messaging or content strategy. That mix keeps things fresh and helps me deliver more well-rounded results.
Most of all, I love being able to form strong, lasting relationships with the people I work with — becoming not just a consultant, but a trusted partner.
It’s a role that fits me — and my clients — really well.
